" Fading Dreams"

Alone and in my dreams I must remain,

The true self only realized then,

Tossed by the harshness of reality,

I never am allowed to be me.

Not remembering the silk, the roses, the lace,

The laughter, the smiles and a certain face.

Alone and in my dreams I must remain,

The true self somehow I must retain.

Reality with its greed and haunting strife,

Forcing me to react, fighting for my life.

Not remembering sapphire seas and jade green lan d

And the touch of a certain, gentle hand,

Alone and in my dreams I must remain.

The true self only realized then.

Unable to express that which is woven in my being,

Buried under the rubble of ugly words and things,

Unable to remember the joy and happiness of past days

And the loving words I heard you say.

Alone and in my dreams I must remain,

The true self somehow I must retain.

No one around to see and comprehend

To share with -, to give too -, to attend.

And so, the silk -, the roses -, the lace -,

The laughter, the smiles and a certain beloved face,

The sapphire seas and the jade green land,

The joy, the happiness of an other day

And the loving words you used to say

All remaining buried during realities day.
